Donald E. Newsholme, Enrolled Agent
Don is the founder of our Firm which began as a startup tax business in New York City. The firm grew over time and embraced an Investment Advisory business in the late 1980's. In 1997, Janet joined Don and the company operating in Yorktown Heights, NY and New York City. In 2006 the Firm built the present office building on Route 202 in Yorktown Heights, NY which now serves all of Westchester County. Don is an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, a Certified Financial Planner, and an insurance broker for life, accident and health insurance. He holds multiple securities licenses through FINRA and his Broker/Dealer Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. (S7, S24, S63 and S65). He continues to serve as a tax consultant where needed; his knowledge and expertise remaining invaluable to the firm.
Janet Newsholme Filangeri, President and C.E.O.
Janet is a Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP) with the IRS, handling Individual and Corporate tax return preparation along with other client tax issues. She is a licensed Life Insurance Broker and the firm's Chief Compliance Officer and Software Specialist. She has been with NFS, Inc. since 1997. Partners with Don since 2000, Janet assumed the role of President and C.E.O. in 2020 when Don stepped down to direct his attention full time to his investment advisory practice.
Kellianne Warnet, E.A.
Kellie has been a part of the Newsholme Family since 1990. Hired as an executive assistant, Kellie has learned all aspects of the business and evolved to be one of Newsholme’s key employees. Kellie is an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service and, in addition to handling tax preparation and other tax issues for individuals, she is responsible for Corporation Tax and Accounting, as well as Trust Tax preparation. Kellie is also a specialist in Quickbooks.
Karen Cerrone, Back Office Assistant
Karen has been a part of the Newsholme staff since 1997. Karen is instrumental in handling Client account requests including billing and Accounts Receivable, maintaining back office processing, and tax return management during tax season.
Susan Kravits, Office Manager
Sue joined the firm in 2007 and is responsible for keeping the staff on track! Sue’s attention to detail, her sunny disposition on the phones, and her willingness to go out of her way to help clients are the main reasons why they (and we) love her so much!
Alison Proctor, Bookkeeper
Alison also joined us in 2007 and handles virtually all of our corporate clients bookkeeping needs. She holds a Quickbooks Pro Certification and can consult and train you on Quickbooks and answer any questions you may have.
